Ecuador's type of government is republic. The cheif of state is Rafael Correa Delgado and the vice chief of state is Lenin Moreno Garces. NOTE: The cheif of state is also the head of the government. The cabinet member is appointed by the chief of state. The president and vice president are elected on the same ticket by popular votes and it lasts for a four-year term.
